#VGMA21: Full List Of Winners. The award ceremony which was postponed from May to August due to the outbreak of COVID-19 came off over the weekend from Friday, August 28 to Saturday, August 29, 2020, but was largely a virtual event with strict adherence to the Coronavirus-induced preventive protocols.
Some of the biggest winners of the night were Kofi Kinaata who walked away with three awards, J. Derobie, Medikal, Celestine Donkor and Sarkodie who won two awards each.
Fameye emerged as the New Artiste Of The Year while Diana Hamilton won the Gospel Artiste Of The Year award with Ras Kuuku, for the first time, winning the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste Of The Year. Other surprises of the night include Kwesi Arthur, Medikal and DopeNation who won the Best Rapper Of The Year, Hiplife Song Of The Year and Afrobeats Song Of The Year respectively.
The first night of the event was hosted by Giovanni Caleb and Sika Osei while the final night was hosted by Berla Mundi and KOD with performances from Kofi Mole, Akosua Agyapong, Akwaboah, Efya, Kelvynboy etc,.
