Presidential Candidate for opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has said Ghanaians will suffer from lack of money in the future because of President Akufo-Addo led NPP government excessive borrowing which is only leaving debts on Ghanaian children.
“None of Akufo-Addo’s children will ever suffer from lack of money, but his unsustainable borrowing is placing a massive debt burden onto all of our children – one which will hamper the economy for generations.” former President John Dramani Mahama said in a Facebook post on Tuesday 13 October, 2020.
The Former President argued that “This government has created a vortex, into which money is swallowed. Over the last 4 years, they’ve gone on the capital market and raised $9 billion on the capital market. These are debts that are going to become a youth tax. He said.
Again, according to Flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, the next government is going to be hold accountable for the incurring huge debt of this current Akufo-Addo led NPP government.
“It’s the next government and subsequent governments, that are going to be responsible for this huge borrowing that has been done in this 4 years.” He stated.
